ceaser salad sandwich

Chicken Caesar Salad Sandwiches

If you love Caesar salad and crispy chicken sandwiches, this Chicken Caesar Salad Sandwich recipe combines the best of both worlds. Juicy breaded chicken cutlets get fried until golden and crunchy, then stacked on a toasted bun with creamy Caesar salad and plenty of parmesan cheese. It’s the kind of recipe that feels restaurant-worthy but is surprisingly easy to make at home.

What makes this sandwich so good is the balance of textures and flavors. You get the crunch from the breaded chicken, the creaminess from the Caesar dressing, the freshness of crisp romaine, and the soft bite of a toasted bun. It’s hearty enough for dinner but simple enough to throw together on a weeknight. Pair it with fries, chips, or even a light side salad and you’ve got a meal that everyone will ask for again and again.

Ingredients

  • 2–3 chicken breasts, sliced into cutlets

  • 1 cup flour

  • 2 eggs, beaten

  • 1 ½ cups breadcrumbs (panko works great)

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • Salt + pepper

  • Oil, for frying

  • 1 small head romaine, chopped

  • ½ cup Caesar dressing

  • ¼ cup freshly grated parmesan

  • 4 brioche or sandwich buns

  • 2 tbsp mayo, for spreading

Directions

  • Season your chicken cutlets with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  • Dredge each piece in flour, dip into beaten egg, then coat in breadcrumbs.
  • Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat and fry chicken until golden and cooked through. Remove to a wire rack or paper towels.
  • In a bowl, toss chopped romaine with Caesar dressing and parmesan.
  • Toast your buns lightly, then spread mayo on each side.
  • Layer a crispy chicken cutlet on the bun, top with a generous scoop of Caesar salad, then cap with the bun.
  • Serve immediately — crisp, creamy, and cheesy perfection.

Notes

  • 👉 To lighten things up:
Air fry the breaded chicken instead of pan-frying in oil.
Use light Caesar dressing or Greek yogurt Caesar.
Swap brioche buns for whole wheat or thin sandwich buns.
Go easy on the mayo (or skip it).

These Chicken Caesar Salad Sandwiches are the ultimate mash-up of two comfort food classics. Whether you fry your chicken golden crisp or take the lighter air-fried route, you’ll end up with a sandwich that’s crunchy, creamy, and packed with flavor. It’s one of those recipes that feels a little indulgent but is still easy enough to pull off on a weeknight.
